how annoying... che seccatura!

Don't know if any of you uses Photobucket for storing photos and linking them to blog posts. I did. I started long ago because of a craft forum I used to visit. It allowed photos only as links to some external platform so I went for the one the other members were using. And since it seemed silly to store photos in many different places, I used photobucket for my blog as well. Very bad idea...
Recently, reading comments from some of the sweet friends who visit my blog (thank you ladies!!!), I realized all my photos suddenly disappeared! I had not deleted them from 'the bucket' so my first thought was 'how weird....'! It turned into 'how annoying' when I discovered that photobucket has  decided that you now need to pay a fee if you wish for your own photos to be visible on other websites! Grrrrrr

So, I am slowly moving to google photos. It will take a while to get all pictures visible again, but hopefully it should work.

Non so se qualcuna di voi usa Photobucket per conservare le foto e collegarle ai propri post. Io lo facevo. Avevo iniziato per via di un forum creativo che frequentavo e che accettava le foto solo come links ad una piattaforma esterna. Così avevo optato per quella usata dagli altri membri. E dato che sembrava sciocco salvare le foto in tanti posti diversi, ho finito per usare photobucket anche per il mio blog. Pessima idea...
Qualche giorno fa, leggendo i commenti di alcune delle amiche che seguono il mio blog (grazie carissime!), ho scoperto che le mie foto erano sparite. Non le avevo cancellate dal 'bucket' quindi il primo pensiero è stato 'che strano...', diventato 'che seccatura!' quando mi sono accorta che all'improvviso photobucket aveva deciso che per postare i link su siti esterni occorre pagare un abbonamento. Grrrrrrr
Così, sto lentamente trasferendo le foto su Google photos. Ci vorrà un po' a rendere le foto nuovamente visibili, ma spero di risolvere il problema a breve. 

more crochet... ancora uncinetto

My crochet mojo is in full gear these days... I had some cotton in my stash, in brilliant colors, which I bought ages ago. It is recycled cotton, and I had originally intended it for washcloths but never found the 'right' pattern for it. No matter the stitch or pattern I chose... it always looked odd with this sort of cotton. So I kept frogging and putting it aside 'for later'.
A couple of days ago I happened to visit a lovely Etsy shop and saw a pattern I thought could be 'right' for this yarn. I did not have any apple green, but decided to try anyway using blue. The pattern is very easy and so much fun to crochet I plan to get the recommended colors and make a second one. I think they will make good items for a charity sale or last minute gifts to a little girl. Hope so at least!

Il mio uncinetto ha messo il turbo in questi giorni... Avevo del cotone in casa, in colori forti, che avevo comprato tempo fa. E' cotone riciclato e inizialmente pensavo di usarlo per delle salviette o delle presine, ma non ho mai trovato il modello giusto. Indipendentemente dal tipo di punto o dal motivo usato, il risultato era sempre pessimo. Così finivo per disfare tutto e mettere da parte 'per dopo'.

Qualche giorno fa sono capitata su un negozietto Etsy molto carino e ho visto uno schema che mi sembrava potesse andare bene per questo cotone. Non avevo il verde mela, ma ho deciso di provare ugualmente usando del blu. Lo schema è davvero semplice e molto divertente da lavorare. Credo che ora mi procurerò il cotone nei colori giusti e ne farò una seconda. Potrebbero essere oggettini adatti per una vendita di beneficenza o regalini per qualche bimba. Almeno spero!
